Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18 the 18th of November, 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordinand in Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was a natural athlete and developed a passion of sprinting while at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks following her very first tryout. In 2003 Felix completed her high school graduation signing a professional contract with the sports company Adidas and then enrolled in the University of Southern California where she studied elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. She broke the Junior World Record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 second. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to win the 200 meter race. In 2007 she defended that title, beating her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She was consistently in the top three of the events.
